Eric Carle’s Very Little Library

These are classics and well battered loved pieces in our library.
Follow the very hungry caterpillar who somewhat resembles me at a buffet.
Or perhaps the very lonely firefly? Gotta help that dude find the others.
Or maybe you’d like to hang out with the very busy spider?
I’m hanging out with a few busy spiders at the moment.
Don’t look above the curtains! – NO! I SAID DON’T…
Jeez. I guess the maid forgot those ones.
Anywhoo these are fun! The illustrations are fun and make me want to cut up my paintings.
Or paint cut-up things.
Or do something painty or cutty.
Aw shoot, what is this post about?
(Mr. Carle may need to do a Very Tired Momma book.)

I loved these when I was a kid. It’s nice to see some things stick around. The colours and textures remind me a lot of the papier mâché stuff your dad (used to?) do … You could take photos of them, and then cut up the photos
